Record Money Raised

The Henley Half Marathon has been running for 26 years and has long been associated with raising money for the RNLI. In 2010 it raised £23,000 for the RNLI and local charities

Sue Ryder Care Home

The Sue Ryder fireworks and Halloween night has been held in late October for the last 10 years. In 2011 it raised £18,000 for the Sue Ryder care home in Nettlebed. Read more

Schools Tsunami Project

On New Years Eve 05 both Rotary Clubs and Rotaract raised £6400 from the Henley residents, with the valuable assistance of Waitrose. This was in addition to Aquaboxes to the value of £5000.

The Club with other clubs in District 1090, built a new school in Sri Lanka, and have supplied and equipped the school which was completed on budget in late 07.

Gala Concerts

Gala Concerts are held at irregular intervals usually benefiting International charities.

The proceeds of the latest event was £2,550. This went to Mercy Ships, a global charity that offers free medical services to the world's poor of any faith.

2011 Henley Standard 10K Results

The Henley Half Marathon and the 10K Run take place each October and raise money for the RNLI as a national charity and for several other local and international charities. Each year we see some 2,500 runners participating. The Marathon course follows a beautiful scenic route through Henley, over the famous bridge, and along the Thames valley. It then returns to cross the river and takes the runners up the hill at Fawley before bringing them home to the Henley Rugby Club.

The next Half Marathon and 10K Run will take place on the 9th October 2011, starting at the Henley Rugby Club at 9.30 am. See below how to enter either event.

The Henley Half Marathon

The Half Marathon starts and finishes at the Henley Rugby Club. There is free car parking for competitors in the adjoining meadows but entrants should be aware there is no public transport which will allow the runners to reach the Rugby Club in time for the start.

Entry price is £17.50
Half Marathon run will be chip timed.
Last entries 23 September.
Race packs including the Chip Timers will be despatched by 5 Oct.
Entries received after the 23 Sept will be chip timed but the packs must be collected prior to the race. Collect from Late Entry Pick Up Point.
Limited entries on the day available up to 8.30, subject to demand, at £25 per entry, these will not be chip times and will not be eligible for inclusion in the race results.
All finishers in both events will receive a medal and a goody bag.
NO DOGS or PUSH CHAIRS. Competitors running with a dog or a push chair will be disqualified

The Henley 10k

The Henley 10k starts and finishes at the Rugby Club on Marlow road. There is free car parking available for competitors but entrants should also be aware that there is no public transport which will allow runners to reach the Rugby Club in time for the start

10K will be chip timed
Last entries 23 September.
